Wishing Stone Gift - Lucky Wish Rock

A "wishing rock" is a beach stone with a single perfectly unbroken stripe all the way around the circumference of the rock. For a rock to qualify as an authentic wishing rock, there can be no breaks or pauses in the white quartz ring. The ring can be crossed by other rings but must have no beginning and no end.

Finding a stone with a single, unbroken ring amongst millions of other stones on a beach is pretty darn lucky in itself. Popular lore has it that if you make a wish with the stone for yourself, it is believed to come true, but if you make a with for someone else, their wish and all of yours are said to come true.

These stones are gray with an unbroken, white striped ring. Each banded stone is unique in size, shape, and character after being tumbled by the rugged Atlantic surf for thousands of years.
